Wool items should be washed on a wool program or by hand, as they are 100% wool without impurities and silicone on the fibers and there is a risk of shrinkage.
A wool blanket does not need to be washed too often, just air the blanket in fresh air. Wool is a self-cleaning material. The surface of the thread repels dirt, as well as mites and other microscopic particles harmful to the baby. Airing is absolutely sufficient in most cases.
Wash with a wool-friendly detergent or shampoo.
It is easiest to wash by hand in a sink or small basin, as the size and volume of the blanket allow this to be done easily. Wash with lukewarm water. Fill the container beforehand, add the shampoo/wool conditioner and then put the blanket in. Do not rub it too much, just dip it a few times and that is enough. Rinse carefully with lukewarm water. We should be gentle with wool, like when we bathe our hair.
